There is a common misconception that the sole purpose of cosmetic dentistry is to improve your smile by fixing the appearance of your teeth, but the practice is also concerned with boosting or restoring natural functionality and the correction of various dental problems.
Cosmetic dentistry is a vast field with numerous procedures to solve problems like overbites, overjets, and other malocclusion issues; discolorations, gaps, chips, and cracks; and missing teeth.
Some of the most popular procedures provided by our cosmetic dentistry Los Angeles team includes teeth whitening, veneers, and Invisalign. Discoloration is one of the most common dental problems. While you could try home remedies and other products, nothing works better than professional whitening from your cosmetic dentist.
In cases where discoloration is too severe, veneers are the ideal solution. At Esthetic Dentistry, we use only the highest quality material to ensure final results that look and feel as natural as possible.
Invisalign is one of the best solutions for patients with an overbite or overjet. While regular orthodontics works just as well, Invisalign allows you to address misalignment more discreetly.
Led by Dr. Taline and Dr. Sako, Esthetic Dentistry helps every patient maintain optimal dental health through extensive examinations and treatments that work. Every aspect of your oral health gets proper assessment and ultimately, resolution.
Routine visits allow us to address problems before they worsen. For more information about the dental solutions we provide, give us a call and schedule your appointment today!
The images to the left represent a dental smile makeover that involves a crown and three veneers restored by our cosmetic dentists. The right Central Incisor was lost due to a fracture and was replaced with an implant. After the appropriate healing time, the implant was replaced with a crown and the adjacent teeth were restored with three veneers.
The work was performed after bleaching the remaining teeth so the shades of the restorations matched the new color of the teeth. This case was published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, which is a well-respected publication amongst dental colleagues.
The second cosmetic dentistry case was also performed by the doctors at Esthetic Dentistry in Los Angeles. The case concerned a patient that had porcelain fused to a metal crowns from decades ago by another dentist. These metal crowns were replaced with all-ceramic crowns at Esthetic Dentistry. In the past, dentists used to employ ceramic restorations that were stacked onto a metal substructure. Metal backing would often shine through and give a dark grey look around crowns. Now, non-metal base crowns are used so we can create a much more esthetic smile. In the photos on the left, you can see this dark hue which is overcome with all-ceramic crowns in the “after” photos.
